Yeah, I'm still alive. Just been crazy busy with life and all.
Both of my sons are in the Army National Guard and my oldest was just called to active duty in Iraq. He leaves the 21st of August for training in Ft. Hood, Tx then on to Iraq. Please send any prayers, vibes or good mojo you can muster. My wife and I can sure use it!
Sorry I have not been posting much. Been really busy lately. One good piece of news recently though! I'm going to be a grandpa again! My daughter and her husband are expecting their second child, due in February.
I'm hoping this one is a little girl, but will be happy just as long as the baby is healthy :)
George Carlin, the influential comedian whose routines used profanity, scatology and absurdity to point out the silliness and hypocrisy of human life, has died. He was 71.
Carlin, who had a history of heart trouble, died of heart failure Sunday, according to publicist Jeff Abraham. Carlin went to St. John's Health Center in Santa Monica on Sunday afternoon, complaining of chest pain, and died at 5:55 p.m. PT.
Carlin performed as recently as
last weekend at the Orleans Casino and Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada, and
maintained a busy performing schedule, which included regular TV
specials for HBO.
We have to be at the hospital at 5:30 AM in the morning for her surgery scheduled at 7 AM. Please send a little prayer our way when you wake up in the morning hoping all is well. I will let everyone know how it goes as soon as we know something.
Chad~
I'm happy today.
I don't know why....I'm just happy. Happier than I have been in a long time.
Nothing has really changed, I am just in a happy mood.

I originally thought that they had not gotten any of my Star Wars stuff, but after spending several hours going through everything to see what all was taken I found they had stolen much more than originally thought.
9 fishing poles (my three and each of my sons three poles) $200.00
All of my tools, including a 18v cordless Black & Decker drill, Craftsman saw, sockets, screwdrivers, etc. $250.00
A tub with 237 Hot Wheels (all individually packaged, some worth $50+, but one in particular was the 1996 VW Bus worth $125) Approx. $400.00
A large tub of computer items. (hard drives, CDRoms, Wirelesscards, Misc PCI cards, etc.) Approx $500.00
A tub with a complete Nintendo 64 and 13 games. $55.00
A tub with a complete Super Nintendo and 22 games. $40.00
All of my carded Star Wars figures (mostly Darth Vader, but several misc. figures) $235.00
All of my Star Wars VCD's and original books. $150.00
An original plastic caped Jawa that I had since I was 5 years old that was kept in a nice Mylar case (worth about $250)
My 1974 Evil Knievel lunchbox (still had the thermos) $80.00
A 55 gal tub of misc. sportscards that I have been collecting since I was 10 years old. Several rookie cards, and other misc cards worth anywhere from $5 to $100 (approx. 550 cards total) $1500.00
And lots of other misc. that I will probably never know is missing. $$$
Total is approx $3660.00
No leads, no fingerprints. Nothing. I will never see the stuff again, and it infuriates me that what was once MINE is scattered about who knows where. Probably in a pawn shop or eBay for a quick buck or drugs. I hope whomever stole it all gets what is coming to them.
I called Dell last night at about 8 PM CST to get my wifes power supply replaced, they said it would be 3 to 5 business days for DHL to get it to us. I don't know if I live next to a shipping point or what, but they delivered the replacement today at 2 PM CST!
Dell + DHL = FTW!
...hit our house yesterday afternoon. Fried the on-board Ethernet controller of my computer, my sons monitor, my wife's power supply for her laptop (she only has about 20 minutes of power left), the Cox cable modem, my Belkin wireless router, the TV in the living room, our DVD player, our surroundsound will not even power on so it is fried too.
Not a good afternoon at all. For those who usually converse with my wife, she will be back online in a few days when the new power brick for her laptop arrives.
We have not slept worth a darn since we found out about LaCresha's medical diagnosis. Does she have cancer? Does she not? How is my son doing in basic training? We have not heard from him since he left on Monday. I know they have a "reception" or a "zero" week where they are getting their shots and uniforms and stuff, but not knowing what is going on with him or with LaCresha's condition is driving us both MAD!
Any prayers, good vibes, Happy Hippy MoJo, or $$$ would gladly be accepted!
